CASE STUDY
“The team at 760 Media took
our 2004 catalog to a whole new level,
we couldn’t be more
pleased."
- Dorinda
Silence, National Marketing Communications Manager
Client:
Ingram Micro - Nimax
Objective:
Create an annual 200+ page, product print catalog
and CD ROM for Nimax, a Division of Ingram Micro, one of the world’s
largest distributors for manufacturers of portable barcode, printing,
and Point of Sale systems. The pieces will be distributed through
direct mail and need to tie-in with the current, national advertising
campaign as well as appeal to resellers of three separate target
markets, consisting of industrial, wireless and retail.
Target Market:
Resellers and consultants for barcode reading products and systems including
LAN, WAN and wireless networks for industrial, manufacturing, warehousing,
distribution and other logistical services such as transportation, hospitals,
hospitality and retail.
Project Description:
760 Media created a cohesive print and CD ROM catalog
using a modified version of the current marketing campaign which
included the use of the custom, 3D world globe, created by 760 Media’s
art department, and rotating bar codes that move throughout the graphics.
The interactive CD ROM catalog was a huge break through for both
760 Media and Nimax. 760 Media brought in a team of Flash programmers
and created a completely self-driven, interactive catalog that is
self projecting and does not require any downloads. According to
Macromedia representatives, this was a unique application of their
software and quite possibly the first of its kind.
Result:
The results from the catalog collection were extremely
positive. Nimax’s
customers were pleased with the final product and the company plans to continue
updating the annual catalogs with 760 Media.
